About Me
I'm a Florida-certified English Language Arts teacher (6–12) who brings energy, clarity, and real-world storytelling into the middle school classroom. I most recently taught 6th grade ELA at Gulfview Middle School across Intensive, Regular, and Advanced levels, building lessons that meet students where they are and keep them genuinely engaged.
Before teaching, I spent several years in live broadcasting and digital media, calling play-by-play for FGCU on ESPN+, hosting and providing color analysis for the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels (the Twins' Low-A affiliate), and producing digital content for WLWT, WBBH, and WZVN. That work taught me how to hold an audience, think on my feet, and turn dry material into something people actually want to follow, skills I use every day to get reluctant readers and writers invested.
I'm an FGCU graduate (Magna Cum Laude) and a former college athlete, so I value discipline, preparation, and showing up consistently for a team. I'm always glad to connect with fellow educators, administrators, and anyone working to help students become confident readers, writers, and communicators.
